Tesla’s Closed Loop (and Profitable) Battery Recycling Hits Europe

Earth and Industry reports that Tesla Motors (NASDAQ:TSLA) has launched a closed-loop recycling strategy for its Lithium-Ion battery packs throughout Europe.

The market news is quoted as saying:

At the end of their life, Tesla will recycle its battery packs at a Umicore facility in Belgium where the Brussels-based materials technology company will be broken down to be reused in batteries and specialized concrete.
