LIT’s radical halogen based Sileach™ process has already proved its worth in the production of high-purity lithium carbonate (ASX announcement 17 Jan 2016). The application of Sileach™ to the processing of spodumene, potentially heralds a paradigm shift in the processing of hard-rock lithium occurrences.
Lithium Australia will commence the next pilot test on Pilgangoora concentrates in January 2017 and is planning a further run on material from Europe in the coming months.
