FMC Corporation (NYSE:FMC) anounced plans to increase global pricing by 10 percent for all grades of lithium carbonate and lithium salts including lithium hydroxide, pharmaceutical carbonate and specialty salts. The price increase will be effective December 1 2014.

As quoted in the press release:

The increases apply to all standard and non-standard pricing.

Global marketing director for FMC Lithium, Chris Senyk, said:

The increases are necessary to offset continued rising costs of raw materials and operational cost pressures at our Argentina facility. The increases are in addition to the lithium hydroxide increase announced in May 2014. These increases will help ensure continued investment in our operations and support the supply service expectations of our global customers
