Mining Weekly reported that spending on exploration of minerals like iron and cobalt in Australia has increased significantly.

As quoted in the market news:
Expenditure on base metals exploration, such as copper rose 60% to A$323-million, while nickel and cobalt exploration spend increased by 33% to A$271-million. Lead, zinc and silver exploration was up by 46% to A$76-million.
