United Company Rusal Plc Tells Norilsk Minorities to Demand Buyback Finish

Reuters Africa reports that on Monday, United Company Rusal Plc (HKG:0486) has withdrawn its earlier objection to Norilsk Nickel’s (LON:MNOD) plan to buy back common shares.

The market news is quoted as saying:

“We recommend that the minority shareholders demand from (Norilsk unit) Corbiere the immediate completion of the buyback given RUSAL’s official position of no objection and a proffered undertaking not to pursue a claim in this regard,” RUSAL said in a statement.
