International Nickel Indonesia Reports Five Fold Increase in Profits
Indonesia’s nickel producer, PT International Nickel Indonesia Tbk (Inco) has reported a huge increase in nickel production as compared to its 2009 first quarter profits of 16,220 metric tonnes to this 2010 first quarter of 19,811 metric tonnes net profit. The profit came from nickel in matte production, deliveries, and average realised price.

Indonesia’s nickel producer, PT International Nickel Indonesia Tbk (Inco) has reported a huge increase in nickel production as compared to its 2009 first quarter profits of 16,220 metric tonnes to this 2010 first quarter of 19,811 metric tonnes net profit. The profit came from nickel in matte production, deliveries, and average realised price.

“Nickel in matte production rose to 19,811 metric tonnes in
the first quarter, from 16,220 metric tonnes a year ago, while
deliveries rose to 18,021 metric tonnes from 14,610 metric
tonnes. The average realised price per metric tonne jumped to
$14,182 from $8,309.”
