The editorial is quoted as saying:

Peru reported lead production decline 12% during the month of September to 21,013 metric tons from 23,813 metrics tons reported in September 2009. For the first nine months of this year, Peru reported lead production of 200,711 metric tons, an 11.6% drop from the 227,114 metric tons reported during the same period of 2009.
