Mining Australia announced today the opening of Gindalbie Metals’ Karara iron ore project in Western Australia. The opening of the project was met with over 150 dignitaries on site for the official ceremony.
Mining Australia announced today the opening of Gindalbie Metals’ Karara iron ore project in Western Australia. The opening of the project was met with over 150 dignitaries on site for the official ceremony.
A statement by Gindalbie chairman, George Jones, highlighted:
The successful financing, development, construction and commissioning of this world-scale project marks the realisation of a long-held dream to establish downstream processing and value adding opportunities for the Australian iron ore industry.
The project is the second largest magnetite project in Australia, and is on track to product 8 million tonnes per annum of magnetite concentrate by month-end.
