VMS Ventures Inc. (TSXV:VMS) announced that its Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, Richard Mark, has tendered his resignation as of June 16. VMS thanks Mr. Mark for his twelve years of dedication to building shareholder value in the company.

As quoted in the press release:

John Roozendaal, the President of the Company has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Mark said:

As a large shareholder of VMS, I look forward to following the development of our now producing, high grade copper asset, the Reed Mine in Manitoba. I will also be watching North American Nickel closely, as VMS owns about 22% of NAN. Their 2014 exploration and zone drilling programs at NAN’s 100-per-cent-owned Maniitsoq nickel sulphide project in southwestern Greenland are underway and we have high hopes for Discovery this season. I will miss the day to day intensity of running these two public companies, but must admit, I look forward to spending more time with my wife and daughter this summer.
