Tintina Resources (TSXV:TAU) announced the start of geotechnical drilling at its Black Butte copper project in Montana.

The drilling of twenty shallow drill holes will provide a comprehensive data set for understanding the nature of the regolith (loose material above bedrock) and bedrock for construction footings and cut and fill calculations, as well as a more detailed understanding of the bedrock geology of the construction sites.

Tintina VP exploration, Jerry Zieg, said:

The data collected from this drilling is critical for proper siting and construction of our mine facilities. Our goal is to ensure the highest safety standard possible; this information is important for properly designing facilities that will withstand geological hazards.  The data set will also help in identification of any site material suitable for construction purposes.
