The Wall Street Journal reported that Compania Minera Antamina SA says a strike has ended at its Peruvian mine. The mine is jointly owned by BHP Billiton Ltd. (NYSE:BHP,ASX:BHP,LSE:BLT) (33.75 percent), Glencore plc (LSE:GLEN) (33.75 percent), Teck Resources Ltd. (TSX:TCK.B,NYSE:TCK) (22.5 percent) and Mitsubishi Corp. (TSE:8058) (10 percent).

As quoted in the publication:

Antamina said in an emailed statement that the strike ended after labor authorities declared it unauthorized.

Union leader Jorge Juarez was not immediately available for comment.
