South Boulder Mines (ASX:STB) announced that the pilot test for conducted for the Colluli SOP project definitive feasibility study (DFS) resulted in ultra-high purity potassium sulphate (SOP) grades. These results came from a series of pilot plant runs conducted throughout March 2015 and the tests consistently achieved higher than industry standard grades.

Highlights from the pilots tests included:

    • Colluli process consistently produces ultra-high purity potassium
    • sulphate (SOP)
    • 98 percent K2SO4 achieved in final Colluli product vs typical industry product of 94 percent K2SO4
    • In conventional potash K2O reporting terms
    • 52.9 percent K2O avg. grade SOP product from Colluli vs typical industry product 50.8 percent K2O
    • Maximum Colluli K2O 53.2 percent
    • Minimum Colluli K2O 52.4 percent
    • Ultra-low Chlorine at < 0.1 percent
    • Results repeatable over range of feed material and feed grade
    • Optimised DFS process flow diagrams locked in
