Medic Vision Imaging Solutions, Ltd., has announced installation of SafeCT® at St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System, Savannah, Georgia. The health care system’s two hospitals and three outpatient facilities are all served by a centralized SafeCT Enterprise system.
According to the press release:

SafeCT, Medic Vision’s flagship product, enables substantial SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) enhancement of CT images acquired on conventional scanners of all vendors and models, regardless of exposure parameters. SafeCT Enterprise is a centralized system that helps achieve low-dose CT scanning for the entire organization, regardless of the number of scanners and their locations. It demonstrates high performance, continuity, reliability and scalability along with seamless integration into the CT department workflow.

Jeffrey Zehel, Director of Imaging Services at St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System commented:

With Medic Vision SafeCT® the St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System has reduced our radiation dose on our legacy scanners — from a range of manufacturers — while presenting images to our radiologists and physician community that are of the high diagnostic quality they demand.
Patients now receive significant lower dose levels for the same exams we performed just months ago and it has opened our eyes to the possibilities of further radiation dose reduction for our patients.
