Overview

Pancontinental Resources Corporation (TSXV:PUC) is a Canadian junior mining company focused on exploring the prolific and underexplored Carolina Slate Belt in South Carolina, USA.

In January 2020, Pancon won the exclusive right to explore the former Brewer Gold Mine. Between 1987 and 1995, Brewer produced 178,000 ounces of oxide gold from open pits that extended to 50-meter depths, where copper and gold-rich sulfides were exposed but could not be processed by the oxide heap leach processing facility.

Brewer is a high sulfidation system driven by a sub-volcanic intrusive and could contain a large copper-gold porphyry system at depth, as indicated by widely-known prospective geology, including diatreme breccias associated high-sulfidation alteration, gold and copper mineralization and geophysics.

Pancon’s 100 percent-owned Jefferson Gold Project nearly surrounds the former Brewer Gold Mine, and both Jefferson and Brewer are located 12 kilometers along trend northeast from the producing Haile Gold Mine, which produced 146,100 ounces of gold in 2019. In addition, Pancon has four nickel-copper-cobalt exploration projects in Northern Ontario surrounding or near producing and former mines.

Pancon’s technical teams have decades of experience in the resource industry moving projects from discovery to mine feasibility. The company’s management team is led by President and CEO Layton Croft whose quarter-century of leadership experience spans North America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America, including executive and advisory roles with Ivanhoe Mines, Rio Tinto, Peabody Energy and Duke Energy.

Pancontinental Resources’ Brewer Gold Project

The Brewer project comprises approximately 1000 acres that are surrounded by Pancon’s 100-percent-owned Jefferson gold project, which is over 2000 acres. Brewer is a sub-volcanic high sulfidation gold-copper system located in a proven and safe pro-mining jurisdiction. The project is 12 kilometers northeast along trend from the producing Haile Gold mine on the gold-rich and underexplored Carolina Slate Belt in South Carolina.

Gold was first discovered at Brewer in the early 1800s, just as it was at Haile. Drilling at Brewer in the 1970s returned 64.3m of 3.3 g/t gold and 0.5 percent copper from 30.8 – 95.1-meter depths. Between 1987 and 1995, Brewer produced 178,000 ounces of oxide gold from open pits that extended to 100-meter depths. Attractive sulfide copper-gold mineralization was encountered, but not further explored or mined, as shallow as 30-50 meters below the surface. Brewer’s prospective geology, including diatreme breccias, associated high sulfidation alteration, gold and copper mineralization and geophysics, all support a possible porphyry-style copper-gold system at depth. Brewer is believed to be a close analog with the Timok copper-gold project in Serbia, which has a higher grade upper zone (with 0.89mt of 3.3 percent copper and 1.8 moz of 2.1 g/t gold) and a lower grade low zone (with 31.5 blb of 0.86 percent copper and 9.6 moz of 0.18 g/t gold) 2.
