Precious and Base Metal Projects inQuebec, Nova Scotia and New-Brunswick.
This Genius Metals profile is part of a paid investor education campaign.*
Quebec hosts one of the most diverse precious base metal mining profiles in Canada. The province stands as the country’s second-biggest producer of gold, the largest producer of iron and one of the rare producers of niobium, titanium, dioxide, cobalt and platinum in the world.
With such a robust mineralization profile, it comes as no surprise that Quebec’s current mining output makes up one-fifth of the national total. Investors looking to get into the mining space stand to gain significant mining and economic upside potential in this jurisdiction of mineral discovery and mining investment opportunities.
Genius Metals Inc. (CSE:GENI) is a young mineral exploration company focused on acquiring, exploring and developing precious and base metal resource properties in Quebec, Nova Scotia and New-Brunswick. Its robust portfolio contains several strategically positioned early-stage mining projects, including its flagship Sakami gold project in Quebec, the Meaghers gold property in Nova Scotia and the A-Lake Cu-Sn-Zn property in New-Brunswick. The company has recently produced an updated NI 43-101 technical report on the Sakami property and will migrate its shares from the CSE to the TSX.V at some point during summer of 2021.
Genius Metals’ extensive portfolio of Quebec properties consists of the flagship Sakami gold property, Iserhoff Gold, Dissimieux phosphate and the KM 381 Lithium Project. These properties leverage mining-friendly conditions of a prolific mining jurisdiction and present the company with highly prospective discovery potential.
The Sakami Property (100% owned by Genius) is composed of a set of claims which straddles the structural contact between the Opinaca and La Grande geological sub-provinces in the James Bay area (Quebec). This contact is associated with many important gold mineralized zones such as Quebec Precious Metals’ La Pointe prospect and most notably the Eleonore gold mine operated by Newmont. Its close proximity to Newmont’s Eleonore gold mine and extensive drilling histories in the surrounding area suggests Sakami could see similar high-yield and high-quality gold mineralization as its geographic neighbors.
Genius Metals has an early-mover advantage as the 100 percent owned Sakami gold asset remains underexplored with no historical drill holes.
Immediately northeast of the Property, O3 Mining’s La Grande Sud Property hosts substantial gold mineralization within Zone 32 (310,000 Oz Au). To the southeast, Quebec Precious Metals has recently completed a 25,000m drilling program and will follow-up with 15,000m this year with an expected resource calculation to come out in a near future.
In April 2021, Genius Metals announced a non-brokered private placement offering for gross proceeds of CAD$1.5 million. Common share units stand at CAD$0.20 per unit and flow-through share units at CAD$0.30 per unit. The company intends to put private placement proceeds towards developing the Sakami property.
Genius Metals has a tight capital structure with 29,098,953 shares outstanding and a proven ability to raise capital with over CAD$150 million collectively raised by its management team in
the last 20 years. The company also presents investors with exceptional entry-level investment opportunities as an emerging company operating in districts occupied by mining heavyweights with comparatively much higher market capitalizations.
Genius Metals is dedicated to mining best practices and applying high environmental and safety standards to all its activities. Likewise, it emphasizes respecting and contributing to communities in which it operates to uphold high standards in corporate governance and professional performance.
The company’s management team comprises mining experts prepared to advance Genius’ shareholder value and project development across its robust asset portfolio. Guy Goulet, Genius Metals president & CEO, was co-credited for the restart of the Wrightbar gold mine in Val d’Or, Quebec and he founded Aya Gold & Silver Inc. (TSX:AYA) in 2008, later co-credited for the restart of the historic Zgounder silver mine in Morocco. He is also credited with founding H2O Innovation, the largest publicly traded water-treatment company in Canada (TSV.V: HEO). This world-class leadership poses exceptional growth potential and economic success for the company.

Genius Metals’ Key Projects
Sakami Gold Project
The Sakami gold project consists of 399 claims covering 20,519 hectares in James Bay Territory, Quebec. The property straddles the prolific contact between the geological subprovinces of La Grande and Opinaca, which is known for outstanding levels of gold mineralization. Genius Metals owns 100 percent of Sakami.
Over the last two years, Genius Metals has conducted multiple airborne and ground-based geophysical surveys, as well as multiple prospecting campaigns. Prospection work included overburden stripping with the use of a mechanical excavator, rock sampling, channel sampling and mapping.
Two highly prospective drill targets have been established through the exploration program mentioned above: Lamarche (13g/t Au, 266g/t Ag, 0.47% Cu, 19.2% Zn, 5.56% Pb) and GoldenEye (up to 2.55 g/t including 1.02 g/t over 4.1m in channel sample). Both targets have been tested at surface and are well-defined with high-resolution geophysical surveys.
The main Lamarche zone on the property boasts gold mineralization across a large 500 meter by 350-meter share zone/ deformation corridor.
Additionally, its Golden Eye zone presents highlighted gold grades of 1.02 g/t gold over 4.1 meters with evidence of gold mineralization across every channel.
The property remains highly prospective and underexplored.
In May 2021, the company entered into an agreement with Forage G4 based in Val d’Or, Quebec, to carry out a 2,000m to 3,000m diamond-drilling campaign focused on the gold-prospective Lamarche and GoldenEye prospects. Drilling targets were defined using the data provided by recently completed mapping, rock sampling, channel sampling and geophysical surveys. The campaign is set to begin at the end of June after the company completes additional exploratory fieldwork.
A-Lake Property (Cu-Sn-Zn)
Meaghers Gold Property
The Meaghers gold property holds six mineral licenses totaling 100 claims across 1,620 hectares in South-Central Nova Scotia. Strategic positioning places Meaghers less than ten kilometers from St. Barbara’s Touquoy mine, which hosts a total measured and indicated reserves of 10.1 million tonnes of gold at 1.48 g/t gold grading.
The property reveals similar geological and structural characteristics to that of the Touquoy mine, such as exposures of the gold-bearing Goldenville Formation, the presence of warped and folded anticlines and a comparable magnetic signature. Meaghers also reveal gold-arsenic prospects and a discrete magnetic anomaly associated with the Atlantic Four Gold mines. This discovery suggests potential widespread mineralization across the property.
On December 4, 2019, Genius Metals entered into an option agreement with MegumaGold Corp., whereby MegumaGold has the option to earn a 70 percent interest in the Meaghers property. The agreement covers 70 percent interest in six Genius Metals mineral exploration licenses totaling 100 claims across 1,620 hectares.
