Licensed producer Zenabis Ltd. announced that it has signed a letter of intent (LOI) to become a preferred cannabis supplier to Pharmasave.

As quoted in the press release:

Subject to changes to Canadian legislation that would allow such distribution, Zenabis will supply and distribute medical cannabis through Pharmasave pharmacists across Canada. Zenabis will also provide pharmacist education and training relating to medical cannabis and supply natural health products to Pharmasave.

Pharmasave is a member owned and governed cooperative of more than 650 independent community pharmacies across Canada. Pharmasave believes that pharmacists, as medication management experts, play an important role in helping to improve patient care. For more than a year, Pharmasave has been providing education and resources on medical cannabis to help Pharmasave pharmacists understand more about the current regulations and learn more about the possible uses, benefits and risks of medical cannabis. For those patients who take multiple medications and may have a complex medication therapy, pharmacists can work with patients and physicians to safely achieve positive health outcomes.

Kevin Coft, CEO of Zenabis, commented:

This LOI is a major milestone for Zenabis and we are excited to be partnering with a trusted national brand like Pharmasave. Partnering with Pharmasave is further validation of Zenabis and the quality of our medical cannabis products. Having our products available in pharmacies across Canada brings Zenabis closer to its goal of building towards being the largest privately-held enterprise in the Canadian cannabis sector.
