Pan American Silver (TSX:PAAS,NASDAQ:PAAS) announced that operations have been suspended at its Argentina-based Manantial Espejo, COSE and Joaquin mines due to an employee fatality. The fatality happened at COSE and was the result of a ground fall underground.
Michael Steinmann, president and CEO of Pan American, commented:
We are deeply saddened by this tragic accident and extend our thoughts and sympathies to the employee’s family and co-workers.
