Lucapa Diamond Company Ltd. (ASX:LOM) announced that it has finished the BLK_29 bulk sample at its Angola-based Lulo diamond concession.
Lucapa Diamond Company Ltd. (ASX:LOM) announced that it has finished the BLK_29 bulk sample at its Angola-based Lulo diamond concession. According to the company, “exceptional grades and stone sizes” were achieved.
As quoted in the press release:
The completed BLK_29 alluvial bulk sample produced diamond grades of 35.02 carats per 100 cubic metres. The average size of the diamonds recovered from BLK_29 was 1.81 carats.
The sample includes the presence of large Type IIa diamonds. Type IIa diamonds are rare and the most valuable category of white diamonds.
Field work at BLK_29 is now complete. BLK_29 is located within approximately 2km of Lucapa’s diamond plant.
