Gaming Nation Inc. (TSXV:FAN) has invested $4 million for a 25% stake in DMi, Inc., which holds the exclusive licensing rights to NASCAR’s racing games on all interactive entertainment platforms through 2022.
According to the press release:

This includes console video games on Sony PlayStation, Microsoft Xbox and Nintendo as well as all PC and MAC devices running Windows and/or OSX. In addition, DMi is pursuing a variety of NASCAR mobile and tablet games on iOS, Android, Windows Mobile and Blackberry as well as derivative devices such as AppleTV, Apple Watch and future console gaming platforms.
Scott Secord, President/CEO of Gaming Nation, commented, “This current investment in DMi, together with our ability to acquire a majority interest in the company, provides multiple benefits to Gaming Nation. The fact that DMi has the exclusive rights to NASCAR simulated racing games, for both console and mobile platforms, presents a substantial opportunity for Gaming Nation to expand its reach into the rapidly growing console and mobile gaming space and open the door to e-sports in the future.”
DMi expects that it will launch its NASCAR Heat game for all major gaming consoles in the fall of 2016. With more than 75 million NASCAR fans and the fact that to date no NASCAR games have been released on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One or any mobile platforms, DMi expects strong demand for the games.
