Motorola Solutions Selects Aviat Networks for Florida’s P25 Network

Aviat Networks (NASDAQ:AVNW) announced that it has been selected by Motorola Solutions (NYSE:MSI) for the Florida’s P25 network.
The company said that it was selected to provide wireless backhaul products and services while also working with Motorola throughout various phases of the project including system engineering and design.
As quoted in the press release:

Working in tandem with Motorola Solutions we have been successful in meeting the wireless backhaul needs of our public safety customers in Florida and across the country.”
Aviat has been working to support Motorola Solutions throughout various phases of the project including system engineering and design, and on the contract with the State’s Department of Management Services (DMS).
“Motorola Solutions looks forward to begin building a new cutting-edge interoperable radio communications system for the State of Florida’s first responders and the people they protect,” said Robert Marshall, vice president of sales for Motorola Solutions. “We’re also pleased to be working with Aviat, who will provide the backhaul solution for statewide system connectivity.”
