LogMeIn Named One of Highest-Rated Public Cloud Computing Companies to Work For
LogMeIn, Inc. (Nasdaq:LOGM), one of Boston’s largest cloud software companies, was recognized as one of the 25 Highest Rated Public Cloud Computing Companies To Work For in a new list released by Battery Ventures, a global investment firm, and Glassdoor, the world’s most transparent jobs and recruiting marketplace.
The list highlights 25 publicly traded companies—all business-to-business cloud companies–where employees report the highest levels of satisfaction at work, according to employee feedback shared on Glassdoor.
With an overall company rating of 4.0, compared to the broader average across Glassdoor of 3.3, LogMeIn was of three Boston-area companies to earn the distinction, joining Cambridge, MA-based HubSpot and Burlington, MA-based Demandware on the list.
Earlier this year, LogMeIn doubled its footprint in Boston, opening a second office space in the Fort Point neighborhood directly across the street from its global headquarters to accommodate its significant growth since moving to the area in 2013. The new space features a fitness center, half basketball court and coffee bar. Approximately half of LogMeIn’s 1,100 worldwide employees are based in its Boston HQ.
“We’ve built an amazing team in Boston and across the globe – a team that transforms the way millions of people in virtually every country across the globe connect to each other and the world around them,” said Dena Upton, VP of People & Talent at LogMeIn. “This award is a testament to the role all of our employees have had in creating a great culture and working environment that makes such innovation possible.”
Glassdoor noted that employees at these highly rated companies commonly mention in online reviews that they enjoy working for mission-driven companies with strong and unique company cultures; employers that promote transparency; and companies with experienced senior leaders who regularly and clearly communicate with employees. For instance, according to one anonymous employee review of LogMeIn on Glassdoor:
“I have been with LogMeIn for 2 years and have recently been promoted within my department. While I have worked for many local Boston companies that promised growth and opportunity, this is the first organization that I have seen deliver across the board. If you put in the effort, are a team player, are agile and can think outside of the box, you can have a successful career. The people are what make this a great place, both on my immediate team and those I interact with cross functionally. The organization is progressive, listens to the employees and their wants/concerns, is truly innovative and forward thinking.”
Neeraj Agrawal, a Battery general partner who specializes in cloud venture investing added, “Cloud-computing companies are rapidly becoming some of the largest, fastest growing technology companies in the world. As savvy job seekers try to tap into this new ecosystem, they appreciate information about which cloud companies are the most well-regarded by employees. This transparency is critically important for people making one of the largest decisions in their lives—where to work.”
