SEATTLE, May 24, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Field Data Integrators (FDI), the company that is enabling digital paper and connecting the last mile of digital for field data collection, today announced an integration partnership with ServiceMax, the leading provider of field service management solutions, to offer additional visibility into paper-based assets in the field service lifecycle.
Field service industries are turning to mobile technologies to help deal with the increasing pressure to do more with fewer resources, maintain uptime, respond quickly to issues and thoroughly document conditions and work status. Much of field service is still paper-based and organizations need a way to bridge the gap between the physical- and digital-asset worlds. With the new joint solution, FDI-Anoto for ServiceMax, enterprises can now improve visibility of assets in the field, reduce operational costs and close the information gap associated with field data collection.
How FDI-Anoto for ServiceMax works:
- Paper field data is digitized as it is written using digital pens that send the data via mobile phones, tablets or PCs directly to the ServiceMax platform.
- Within the ServiceMax platform, data is converted to text and organized in structured data tables; the original handwriting is also available with original time, date and author stamp.
“The instant data access from FDI-Anoto extends ServiceMax’s core functionality,” said Sean Johnson, Principal at Field Data Integrators. “We can now provide ServiceMax customers with a new way to gain real-time visibility to field asset data within ServiceMax, enabling significant time and money savings.”
“We are thrilled to offer this unique and innovative solution from Field Data Integrators to our customers as part of our technology alliance program,” said Jonathan Skelding, Senior Director, Technology Alliances, ServiceMax. “ServiceMax users can now gain real-time visibility into paper-based operations within ServiceMax without data entry or the risk of missing paperwork. FDI-Anoto also offers a tablet solution so you can have the best of both worlds.”
FDI-Anoto for ServiceMax will be demonstrated at MAXIMIZE Conference (Kiosk #32) from 13-15 June at the Marriott Marquis in San Francisco, CA.

About Field Data Integrators (FDI):
FDI is connecting the last mile of digital for field data collection by changing the way mobile teams collect data and collaborate with digital pens and tablets. A broad range of industries and agencies use FDI-Anoto solutions as natural interfaces into ServiceMax, SharePoint, Excel, Tableau, reporting and BI tools as well as other enterprise solutions. Mobile teams collect data with digital paper or tablets, and get immediate access to their handwritten data in native file formats and systems without the delay and cost of scanning or manual data entry.
