Data I/O Expands Presence in Asia-Pacific Region Through Distribution Partnership With First Technology China

REDMOND, WA–(Marketwired – May 26, 2016) – Data I/O Corporation (NASDAQ: DAIO), the leading provider of manual and automated device programming solutions, today announced it has expanded its presence in the Asia-Pacific region by entering into a distribution agreement with First Technology China (FTCL). FTCL is one of the leading integrated service and technology solution providers in the high-end electronic assembly and Semiconductor industry in China with a broad customer base including global 500 electronic customers and leading local electronics manufacturers in China.

Following the first quarter of 2016 in which Data I/O had its best performance in China in nearly 10 years, FTCL is well positioned to further expand Data I/O’s customer base in that country’s growing electronics manufacturing market as well as in other regional territories. Over the past few years, DATA I/O has significantly strengthened its brand in the Asia-Pacific region, supported by local operations in China and regional partnerships in support of its sales and marketing initiatives. The Company’s PSV7000 Automated Programming System, which has been in demand by automotive electronics OEMs, was honored with the EM Asia Innovation Award. The PSV3000 Automated Programming System, developed specifically for the local Asian automation market, was introduced in July 2014 and won the Global Technology Award for Device Programming at SMTA International, the EM Asia Innovation Award and the SMT China Vision Award.
