Boralex Inc. (TSX:BLX) has been selected by the Innu Nation as a partner to develop the 200 MW Apuiat wind farm project in the municipality of Port-Cartier in Quebec’s Côte-Nord region.
As quoted in the press release:
To implement this major project, Boralex will partner with Renewable Energy Systems Canada Inc. (RES) in order to draw on their respective experience and expertise in the development, design and construction of renewable energy projects.
In the coming weeks, the Innu Nation, Boralex and RES will continue the information process and intent to begin public consultations in mid-October. This process will help to inform the community and key stakeholders and understand their interests to be considered in the development of the wind farm project. These consultations, prior to the start, will improve the project by increasing the knowledge of the region and its use and taking into account feedback from stakeholders at an early stage of development.
