American Manganese CEO Larry Reaugh: This Year Could Be a Turning Point for the Company

American Manganese Inc(TSXV:AMY; PINKS:AMYZF;FRANK:2AM) CEO Larry Reaugh was spotlighted on Jim Goddard’s advertising segment, Company Showcase.
In his discussion with Goddard, Reaugh highlighted a number of topics pertaining to his company. The first was the current state of the cobalt market. As cobalt sits at $60,000 per ton, Reaugh suggests that this is indicative of an upcoming shortage in the market.
In response to this, large-scale cobalt users are beginning to explore long-term cobalt supply opportunities so as to secure their supply. “There’s going to come a time when the highest bidder gets the cobalt,” said Reaugh. The American Manganese executive believes that the state of the cobalt market will lead it to look to cobalt recycling as an alternate source which has thus far been ignored.
Reaugh also highlighted the state of the company’s patent application, which is being developed on time and on budget by its partner, Kemetco Research. The patent application, a major milestone for American Manganese, is due to be submitted by November 10.
