Mineralization within the sedimentary rocks consists of gold and silver associated with finely disseminated base metal sulfides. Silicified wormholes, local and discontinuous siliceous sinter horizons, and pyritized marine shell imprints suggest that coeval sedimentation and mineralization occurred in a shallow lagoon environment.
