Silver traded down today, hitting $22.04 an ounce, a fall of $0.15 from the previous session.

Silver traded down today, hitting $22.04 an ounce, a fall of $0.15 from the previous session, Reuters reported. Silver futures for December delivery were up, however, by $0.31, to $27.03 an ounce on the COMEX in New York, according to MarketWatch.

Prices for the white metal mirrored those for gold; both were impacted by Larry Summers’ decision to withdraw from the race for US Federal Reserve leadership. They were also impacted by a fall in the dollar.
