Silver continued to make gains today, with spot silver reaching $24.31 an ounce, an increase of $0.048 from its closing price the previous day.
Silver continued to make gains today, with spot silver reaching $24.31 an ounce, an increase of $0.048 from its closing price the previous day. Yesterday, the metal managed to reach a 16-week high of $24.40 an ounce, Reuters reported.
Silver futures for December delivery were also up $0.667, to $24.695 an ounce, on the COMEX in New York, according to Bloomberg. Today’s price was not far from yesterday’s level of $24.75, the highest since April 26.
Metals were impacted today by growing political tension over Syria and an uptick in investment demand, as per Bloomberg.
