Silver was down today, with futures for December delivery falling $0.02, to $21.83 an ounce, on the COMEX in New York, Bloomberg reported. Earlier in the session, futures sank to $21.61, their lowest level since October 17.
The white metal’s fall happened against the background of a lower dollar and speculation that the European Central Bank could loosen monetary policy in the near future, Reuters said. The bank is set to meet later this week.
