Silver prices saw some improvements on Tuesday after a posting some losses on Monday. Silver futures for September delivery rose $0.07, or 0.3 percent, to hit $22.23 an ounceĀ in New York, Kitco Silver reported.

The metal is getting a boost as the U.S. dollar performed poorly today on concerns over the Federal Reserveā€™s plan for its stimulus package. Minutes from the Fedā€™s recent meeting will be released Aug. 21. Until then, investors remain wary and the dollar has sunk.

A decline in the dollar means underlying commodities like silver become more affordable for foreign investors, and demand increases.
