Silver prices saw some improvements on Tuesday after a posting some losses on Monday. Silver futures for September delivery rose $0.07, or 0.3 percent, to hit $22.23 an ounceĀ in New York, Kitco Silver reported.

The metal is getting a boost as the U.S. dollar performed poorly today on concerns over the Federal Reserve’s plan for its stimulus package. Minutes from the Fed’s recent meeting will be released Aug. 21. Until then, investors remain wary and the dollar has sunk.

A decline in the dollar means underlying commodities like silver become more affordable for foreign investors, and demand increases.
