Primero Mining Corp. (TSX:P,NYSE:PPP) announced 2011 silver resources and reserves at the Mexico-based San Dimas mine.
As quoted in the press release:
There is significant exploration potential at San Dimas beyond the stated Mineral Resources and Reserves. The scale of the identified targets is in the order of 6-10 million tonnes at grade ranges of 3-5 grams per tonne of gold and 200-400 grams per tonne of silver.
Primero’s CEO, Joseph F. Conway said:
While the new Resource estimation has resulted in a reduction in and reclassification of Resources and Reserves, our improved understanding and the advancements in underground development should position the Company to convert Resources and exploration potential into Reserves in the near term.
