NQ Planning to Sample Recovered Drill Core for Eight Holes
NQ Exploration Inc. (CVE:NQE) reports that it has recovered the drill core from old holes drilled by BHP Billiton (ASX:BHP) in the 1990s.
The press release is quoted as saying:
These holes were drilled to a maximum depth of less than 200 metres, and were more than 100 metres apart. The best grade obtained at the time was from Hole B-1098, which returned 1.16% Zn and 39.7 g/t Ag over a 14.1-metre section of core. None of the holes were sampled systematically within the felsic mineralized unit. With the experience gained in the past two years, it is now known that the high-grade silver zones are not necessarily related to the zones strongly mineralized in polymetallic sulphide veinlets within the alteration chimney, hence the need for systematic sampling.
