NQ Hits 16 Metres Grading 93.1 g/t Ag at Surface on Its Carheil Project
NQ Exploration Inc. (CVE:NQE) reports early results of the new drilling program at its Carheil project.
The press release is quoted as saying:
The first hole of the planned 20,000-metre program is revealing more and more of the potential of the near-surface silver zone about 30 metres down, just under the overburden, once again boosting the assessment of the open-pit potential. This hole returned the highest grade of all the shallow holes, with a total of 58.3 g/t Ag over 32 metres, including a higher grade zone of 93.1 g/t Ag over 16 metres.
These results would tend to confirm that a “low-grade” zone over 10 metres thick could be outlined between surface and the 200-metre level, within a 25 to 30-metre mineralized envelope. These results call for a review of the deposition model and the metallogenic control of the silver zones, which appear to be larger than anticipated, with rich zones in both the silicified and the sericitized areas, with or without the presence of zinc and copper sulphides.
