Bolivia Workers on Strike at Sumitomo’s Silver, Zinc Mine

Bloomberg reported that Sumitomo (TYO:8053) workers in Bolivia are still on strike and operations have been halted for a week.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Negotiations between workers and Sumitomo Corp.’s subsidiary San Cristobal have not begun, a government official, who can’t be named because of ministry policy, said today at the mining ministry in La Paz.
