2,967,513 Ounces of Silver Produced by US Mines in June

Mineweb reported that mines in the United States put out 2,967,513 troy ounces of silver in June 2013, not much more than the 2,913,857 ounces produced in June 2012, according to the US Geological Survey.

As quoted in the market news:

Domestic silver production of 533,000 kilograms (17,136,348 ozs) for the first half of this year was 4% greater than the first half of 2012, according to the USGS.

The highest producing region for silver production included the combined production of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, South Dakota and Utah. These states mined 70,000 kg of silver (2,250,552 ozs) in June and 406,000 kg (13,053,203 ozs) for the first six months of this year.
