Stillwater Sees Huge Drop in Profits

Mining Weekly reported Stillwater Mining Company (TSX:SWC,NYSE:SWC) has seen a 93% drop in profits for the first quarter of 2012 compared to last year.

As quoted in the market news:

The company said revenues grew 19% to $201-million, mainly because of higher sales of recycled material, while mine production of palladium and platinum came in at 120 800 oz for the quarter, compared with 131 200 oz in the same period one year ago.
