Spot Platinum Jumps on Spanish Bailout

Reuters reported spot platinum rose two percent on news Spanish banks will receive funds from the European Central Bank.

As quoted in the market news:

Spot platinum rose more than 2 percent on Monday to $1,452.5 an ounce, after the euro zone’s decision to shore up Spain’s frail banks boosted risk appetite and weighed on the dollar.
