Bloomberg reported on unusual trading in South Africa on Friday noting the FTSE/JSE Africa All-Share Index rose for the first time in four days.

As quoted in the market news:

Anglo American Platinum Ltd. (AMS) , the biggest producer of the metal, advanced for the first time in six days, gaining 0.4 percent to 502 rand. The company, which operates the Unki mine in Zimbabwe, said it’s not affected by a government order for companies to resubmit applications for prospecting rights.
