Northam Zondereinde Mine Operations Resume

Mining Weekly reported that Northam Platinum has made an agreement with the National Union of Mineworkers and work resumed at the  Zondereinde mine on Tuesday.

As quoted in the news:

In terms of the agreement, the about 580 RDOs, who have been going underground but refusing to drill since April 2, would receive return-to-work compensation, comprising a one-off payment equivalent to 50% of their basic wages for the duration of the strike period and R2 000.
