Northam Platinum Strike Continues

Mining Weekly reported that approximately 500 rock drill operators at Northam Platinum’s Zondereinde mine who went on strike since April 4 have yet to return. The workers demand a 38% increase in their bonuses.

As quoted in the market news:

The miner indicated that the work stoppage at the mine persisted, as the consultative forum that was constituted by its management, was continuing engagements with employee representatives to resolve the situation.
