Northam Platinum Loses R46.2M Revenue in Zondereinde Strike

Mining Weekly reported that Northam Platinum said it has lost R46.2 million in revenue due to rock drill operators refusing to go underground at its Zondereinde mine since April 2.

As quoted in the market news:

The company reported that operations at the mine had been halted, with the rock drill operators downing tools and demanding a 38% increase in their  bonuses. The work stoppage was estimated to have resulted in lost production of about 120 kg of metal in concentrate.
