New Russian Platinum Mining Partnership

Bloomberg reported Russian Technologies Corp., Metalloinvest and Telconet Capital signed an agreement to mine platinum internationally.

As quoted in the market news:

The partners will study the creation of a consortium to mine, process and sell platinum group metals, according to a statement sent by e-mail from Usmanov’s mining company today.

Russian Technologies may provide Zimbabwe with military helicopters in exchange for the possible participation in a platinum mining venture in the African nation, Kommersant newspaper reported today, citing a person in the Russian presidential administration whom they didn’t identify.
