Inside Futures reports that natural resources came to a screeching halt today with Stillwater Mining Company (NYSE:SWC) trading at a 16% loss.
The market news is quoted as saying,
Leading the natural resource complex lower as bulls grapple with the wheels of global commerce screeching to a halt, shares of palladium and platinum play Stillwater Mining (SWC) are being subjected to “selling the news with spades” quite literally with losses of -16.0%.
Stillwater Mining actually came out this morning with surprise upside and above views sales guidance for its second quarter in front of its July 28 earnings report. The company now sees revenues of $222.6M versus forecasts of $201.49M and also announced it ratified a new union labor contract.
