Precious Metals Down

The Sydney Morning Herald reports in their commodities summary that precious metals are down as the dollar went up.

The market news is quoted as saying,

Among platinum group metals, platinum was last down 0.8 per cent at $US1,680.24 an ounce, while palladium was down 1.8 per cent at $US729.25.
