Palladium Market Under Pressure

FM reported palladium saw a gross deficit so far this year and is under immense pressure to perform better.

As quoted in the market news:

In palladium there was a small gross deficit of 0,31moz at the end of last year as supply was not enough to satisfy rising industrial and autocatalyst demand. But the deficit became a surplus of 1,1moz after sales from Russian stocks and a switch from buying to selling by palladium exchange traded funds. GFMS estimates above- ground stocks of palladium could be as high as 7moz-9moz, which is significant in relation to the size of the market.
