Platinum Today reported that Norilsk Nickel’s (MCX:GMKN) second-quarter 2013 palladium production came in 28 percent higher than the previous quarter, while its platinum output was 35 percent higher.
Platinum Today reported that Norilsk Nickel’s (MCX:GMKN) second-quarter 2013 palladium production came in 28 percent higher than the previous quarter, while its platinum output was 35 percent higher.
As quoted in the market news:
Palladium output rose 28% from the first quarter to hit 755,000 oz, driven by the release of stock accumulated earlier in the year.
Q2 platinum production rose 35% from the previous three-month period to 188,000 oz as a result of boosted output at the Polar Division.
Overall output in the first half of 2013 amounted to 1.342 million palladium ounces and 328,000 platinum ounces.
