Troy Granted Finalized Environmental Permit for Karouni Project

Troy Resources Ltd. (TSX:TRY,ASX:TRY) announced the receipt of a finalized environmental permit for the construction and operation of its Guyana-based Karouni gold project.

As quoted in the press release:

The Permit follows a detailed review and assessment of the Company’s Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The Permit is valid for 5 years and forms an essential requirement for approval an operation of the Mining Licence.

Notably, the Permit has been issued in accordance with the timeline and guidance provided by the EPA to Troy, at the start of the review process. As a result, Karouni remains on track for the start of operations in Q2 this year.
