Metallurgical Testing Begins at Northern Freegold’s Porphyry Gold-Copper Project

Northern Freegold Resources Ltd.(TSXV:NFR) announced that it has started preliminary metallurgical testing of material form its Porphry gold-copper project. Northern Freegold have contracted SGS Canada Inc. to carry out the tests. The program is estimated to last three to four months.

As quoted in the press release:

The testwork on the Revenue deposit will focus on three key metallurgical sub-composites identified by NFR. These representative sub-composites and six variability composites will be formed from material originating from the 2011 drill holes within the Revenue resource area. In addition two representative samples from 2009 drill holes within the Nucleus Zone resource will also be formed.

This metallurgical program is a key step in the evolution of the project, and the resulting data will assist in demonstrating the economics of this rapidly expanding project.
