Dalradian Resources (TSX:DNA) has engaged SRT Consulting UK Limited to prepare an environmental impact assessment for its Curraghinalt Gold Project in Northern Ireland. The assessment is being conducted in tandem with a Pre-feasibility study for the project.
As quoted in the press release:
The EIA will examine the potential impacts of a full mine build, as well as options for their elimination or mitigation. The EIA report, together with the Project Description from the PFS, will form the basis of a Planning Application for the full mine build to be submitted to the Northern Ireland Planning Service. In addition to the EIA work, SRK will also contribute to the PFS, including the development of the Project Description.
Dalradian CEO, Patrick F.N. Anderson, said:
We are pleased to be working with a firm that has over 40 years of experience consulting in the mining and metals sector and has completed high profile impact assessments in accordance with the rigorous standards of the Equator Principles, IFC and the World Bank, among others. SRK have completed numerous projects in Europe and have a good understanding of local requirements for our project. We look forward to working with them to plan the construction of Northern Ireland’s first underground gold mine in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.
