Corex Closes Private Placement With Gammon Gold

Corex Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:CGE) announced it has closed a portion of the non-brokered private placement originally announced on July 8, 2010 pursuant to which Gammon Gold Inc. (TSX:GAM)(NYSE:GRS) has acquired 4,706,000 units of the Company at a price of $0.68 per unit for proceeds of $3,200,080.

The press release is quoted as saying:

Corex anticipates closing the placement of the additional 1,694,000 units, with other qualified investors, next week for total proceeds of $4,352,000.
